Who are 7pk?

7PK is dedicated to providing people from disadvantaged backgrounds with increased access to opportunities, networks and experiences that are a norm for their more affluent peers in order for them to be in control of their own social mobility. Working with charities, social enterprises and commercial companies to design programmes, deliver expert training and develop robust strategies, we transform an organisation’s Youth and Community Engagement, Diversity and Inclusion and Acquisition and Development of Talent.

Our mission is to educate and empower individuals and communities to lead impactful and sustainable change by embracing the responsibility and capabilities they have to do so.

PROGRAMMES

What We Deliver

Forget the normal approach of simply having candidates carry out tasks and responsibilities across a team or department and “hoping they enjoy”. Our programmes use gamified approaches to take participants on a focused, guided journey to fully understand business functions, debunk business myths and understand what it takes to become an effective professional.

These programmes see us develop young people’s Personal and Professional skills whilst they play the role of ‘Youth Innovators’. Fellowship participants may be designing and managing Innovation Projects that help companies to improve its internal/operational process. Youth Consultants are equipped with Marketing & Communications, Branding, Community Engagement and Leadership skills so that they can represent their peers when advising, supporting and improving the efforts of an organisation that wants to appeal to young people in a particular area.

These programmes see help participants to develop Leadership of Self, Leadership of Teams and Leadership of Change within an organisation. They are ideally targeted at staff who require further support within the company due to areas of priority from a Diversity, Social Responsibility or Staff Development perspective.

These programmes are an opportunity for corporate companies and the local charities or enterprises that improve the lives of people in the areas surrounding their offices to be able to learn, connect and develop. The initiatives are always a catalyst for robust long-term social mobility initiatives to be collaboratively developed and implemented. This is due to the strength of cross-sector relationships we expect to be developed.

Our main areas of focus here are:

  1. To remodel your processes and approaches for measuring the value (current and potential) an individual adds to the company.
  2. To Remodel the requirements and expected application/usage of skills in given roles at the company.
  3. Staff support, training and development initiatives to support Inclusion, Diversity and Positive Company Culture.

7PK, operating across multiple sectors, is driven by the intention of minimising (and one day removing) the time that individual people from disadvantaged backgrounds remain in a position of disadvantage. At a granular level, the programmes we design and deliver, the training we provide and the infrastructure we develop with Charities, Social Enterprises, Public Sector Bodies and Commercial Companies will all ensure that disadvantaged people are truly empowered to change their situation(s). As explained, it is not only for disadvantaged people to take responsibility for their progression and social mobility, the systems and structures that create barriers in the first place need to be dismantled and redesigned.
